Moon Licks
Set in a post apocalyptic world, this play revolves around a group of characters who have had their inner animal exposed. Chaotic, cathartic and confusing, Moon Licks explores and examines themes of queer identity, drug abuse and finding where one belongs in a world when societal norms are stripped away. Sexy yet dangerous, the play culminates in a moon dance where emotions are high, and all must face the consequences of their actions.

Design process
After reading the script,I created a mood board to set up the vibe of costume which is very hallucinogenic with colour, freaky and chaotic. Each character has their own colour based on their personality.I also used a lot of fashion concept to make the animal is definable and also not in a common sense wise when we see animal in a children show.
When designing, I did some research of the feature of each animal to create the silhouette combining with the personality they are in the script. So when the character turning into an animal, each of them have their own piece of costume to put on to show the switch between human and animal.
Gender neutrality and queer culture are important part inside of the script, so I tried to put traditional female element on the male cast to express the idea. About the fabric I chose a lot of faux leather and faux fur to make them looks like animal more, also more sexy and dangerous. In order to make the big movement available for the cast, I particularly used a lot stretchy fabric or make them baggie, as well as not put any piece at important active joint.I used lots of rhinestone, shining fabric and accessories to make the costume fits the dramatic vibe.
